Milestone sessions are some of my favorite sessions to photograph. They capture the tiny, everyday moments that often go unnoticed. The ones that make up your child’s story. From sitting unassisted to turning one, each milestone is a chapter you’ll never get back, and documenting them helps you hold onto the sweetness of this season forever.

I recently photographed the cutest milestone session, and it reminded me just how quickly these little years pass. Babies change so much in such a short time, and these sessions freeze those fleeting moments in the most beautiful way.

🌿 The Magic of the “Sitter Stage”

There’s something so special about the sitter stage, this is usually around 6–9 months. Babies are full of personality, curiosity, and joy. They’re expressive, smiley, and fascinated by everything around them.

They’re also usually not mobile yet, which makes this stage perfect for photos.

Milestone photos should feel timeless, gentle, and true‑to‑life.

Soft, neutral colors photograph beautifully and keep your baby the center of attention.

Barefoot (always adorable)
